We oversee the maintenance of ten different nature preserves, each with their own unique beauty and innate value. Several of the preserves are open to the public for recreational use while the rest remain in their natural state in order to provide refuge to native species and flood mitigation for surrounding neighborhoods.

Purposeful Education
Our education efforts are mainly focused at the Nature Center and the Spring Trails Preserve. Our exhibits featuring natural objects, live animal ambassadors, and hands-on activities serve to connect our visitors to the natural world using sight, sound, and touch. Our Children’s Corner features books, games and puzzles meant to stimulate curiosity about the world around us.

In addition to our everyday offerings we host programs and events that the whole family can enjoy. Our goal is to provide anyone and everyone with the opportunity to enjoy nature while learning about its importance.
